International Brain Bee Competition (IBB)

The International Brain Bee Competition (IBB) is designed to motivate our youth to learn about the brain, to capture their imagination and to inspire them to pursue careers in biomedical brain research.

The IBB competition generally coincides with Brain Awareness Week in March each year [timing may vary from year to year]. High school students from across the USA compete as well as students from Canada, India, Egypt and Australia.

The International Brain Bee is a live Q & A competition that tests the neuroscience knowledge of students. Young men and women compete to determine who is the "best brain" on such topics as intelligence, memory, emotions, sensations, movement, stress, aging, sleep, addiction, Alzheimer's, Disease and stroke.

In a two-step process, local competitions are held throughout North America and participating countries, with the winners invited to the championship in North America.

The Australian winner and the New Zealand winner of round 3 may have the opportunity to compete in the IBB competition. [Please read the terms and conditions for further information on eligibility; and the timing, location, and organisation of this non-affiliated international event].
