South Australia Dr Paul Thomas, Ph.D. State Coordinator: South Australian Finals: 2008, 2009 2009 South Australian State Final The 2009 South Australian State Final was held on June 16th, 2009 at The University of Adelaide Forty students from four schools competed after some withdrew at the last minute due to swine flu. All enjoyed the Challenges and the day's activities - a day which started early for the ABBC SA State Coordinator, A/Professor Paul Thomas, with a 6.45 am interview for ABC local radio ! The Individual Challenge winner was Malwinka Wyra from the Australian Science and Mathematics School (ASMS). ASMS also won the Team Challenge a great effort in their first year – the team members were: Tristan Feng, William Chalmers, Jessica Hayward, and Malwinka Wyra.
